  • Learned Oracle Policy Admin System – In-house support
    • Built on-call procedures around the cycle process (monitoring and trouble-shooting)<\/li>
    • Deep dive into process to create trouble-shooting recovery procedures.<\/li>
    • Further research into performance enhancement \u2013 memory management, CPU monitoring.   Find bottlenecks in the process.<\/li>
    • Provide recommendation on hardware requirements as system load increased. <\/li>
    • 3rd<\/sup> tier contact for all overnight batch processes.<\/li>
    • Developed several Windows batch routines for moving data for cycle.<\/li>
    • Wrote Java based reporting on business and system errors for the users.<\/li><\/ul><\/li>
    • ETL Process \u2013Java
      • First in-house developer to learn contractor\u2019s (ObjectEdge) Java implementation of ETL (ETL-Lite).   Uses hibernate and Spring.<\/li>
      • Wrote complex stored procedures (Oracle SQL) for data retrieval.<\/li>
      • Finished work on extract to pull scanned images for printing from the document management system.<\/li>
      • Finished work on batch rate loads from an external system.<\/li>
      • Trained other developers on this application.<\/li><\/ul><\/li>
      • ETL Process \u2013 Informatica
        • Converted several Java ETL applications to Informatica.<\/li>
        • Mentored junior developers on ETL design.<\/li>
        • Completed performance improvements or made recommendations where needed.<\/li>
        • Wrote a proof of concept web service in Informatica.<\/li>
        • Wrote bash shell script to update properties file (current date for extracts).  Now used by other teams.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
          • Web-based Java Support systems
            • Wrote a web-based rate loading system for the policy admin system
              • Java Server Faces, Hibernate, Spring based.<\/li>
              • Hand written JavaScript and some jQuery.   Some scripts modified from online libraries.  AJAX methods used to update screens.<\/li>
              • Two-step approval process written into the application for production loads.<\/li>
              • Designed from user input.<\/li><\/ul><\/li>
              • Created a cycle monitoring tool for policy admin               
                • Tracks progress of the batch cycle<\/li>
